Game of the Week

Solar Smash

Some may think our Game of the Week isn’t very appropriate for these uncertain pandemic days we’re living on, but we really love it. Destroying a planet seems to be a complex task, but we’re talking about one of the most casual games we’ve discovered lately. Please welcome our latest Game of the Week: Solar Smash!

Solar Smash is a casual (but beautifully designed) simulator on which you’ll be able to destroy a planet in a matter of seconds. The concept is very simple, but the truth is that we’re talking about a very interesting and entertaining title. The options are very wide: in terms of planets, you can choose between any planet from the solar system or even create your custom one. Of course, we love destroying planet earth. The images are very impressive and that’s because they’ve used tools of NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio and the Space Telescope Science Institute. This means that the level of detail is flabbergasting and you can even aim your weapons to very specific parts of planet Earth!

But... How would you destroy a planet? Well, Solar Smash gets very creative: you can choose between low-range missiles, nuclear ones, or even lasers and asteroids. The concept gets a bit crazier with options like space worms that dig a hole on the Earth and start eating it from inside or even get UFOs abducting people; it’s just insane! You’ll have a counter of live and death population on the bottom of your screen to better measure your destruction efforts.

It'll probably not last long on your phone, since the idea is quite simple and the achievements are a bit repetitive, but, being honest, Solar Smash is an amazing way of killing some time with some destruction fun. Don’t forget to let us know what you think on our social media channels!
